OPENING NIGHT: Foragers (SOLD OUT!)

We open the 22nd annual Chicago Palestine Film Festival with a small reception featuring refreshments, food, photos and mingling. Festivities begin at 5:00 p.m. The film will begin promptly at 6:00 p.m.

Foragers moves between documentary and fiction to depict the dramas between the Israeli Nature Protection Authority and Palestinian foragers. With a wry sense of humor, the inherited love, resilience, and knowledge of these traditions over an eminently political backdrop is captured.

Post-film screening panel with MAQLUBA Director Shady Mawajdeh, accompanied by Hasan ‘Momo’ Khan, Rana Sadek, Rami Abushhab, and Bassam Abdelfattah.
