Join the Chicago Palestine Film Festival as we pay tribute to one of the most prominent figures of the Palestinian film community: Mohammad Bakri. On April 20th we will host a community screening of Wajib, a film that follows an estranged father (Mohammad Bakri) and son (Saleh Bakri) in Nazareth, spending a day hand-delivering wedding invitations for his daughter’s wedding. The film offers a rare, intimate, and authentic glimpse into the everyday lives of middle-class Palestinians.
